Narnu Farm Camp history

Narnu Farm is an iconic school camp located on Hindmarsh Island, just over 1 hour from Adelaide. The farm is part of one of the original Hindmarsh Island properties and the bunkhouse is located in the original Shearing shed, build in the 1800's.

The camp has been operating for close to 40 years, focussing on horse riding and a range of pioneer, yesteryear activities. The Keneally family purchased the property in the early 2000's and Sarah and her team have been operating it ever since.

In 2023, unfortunately the horse based activities ceased to operate, and an agreement with Beyond the Classroom was made to manage and operate all school camps into the future.

The camp is set up to run a range of activities, with key experiences being the animal feeding, chicken hatchery, blacksmithing, butter making, farm trails and nature play experiences.

Beyond the Classroom are honoured to now be the custodian of Narnu Farm school camps and look forward to continuing to build on the amazing reputation and experiences that Sarah and her family have created.
